| Tease Pic: Nissan Reveals Rogue, Skyline Details NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nissan has issued a teaser photo of its 2007 Rogue crossover, with few details except that it will make its global debut at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 7. "Draw your own conclusions," reads the brief press release that accompanied the image of the Rogue. The Oxford English Dictionary defines "rogue" as "a dishonest or unprincipled person." Another meaning is "a wild animal driven away or living apart from the herd and of fierce temper [rogue elephant]," it says. The dictionary also says the word can mean "an inferior or defective specimen among many acceptable ones." At the same time, Inside Line has confirmed that Nissan's other upcoming product plans include the global debut of the Skyline GT-R at the '07 Tokyo auto show, followed by an on-sale date in the United States in spring 2008. Product planners at the company are still debating whether the car will be equipped with a supercharged or turbocharged V6 or a V8 engine and are still working on components. The company has also been fielding complaints from Infiniti dealers about the Skyline GT-R, which will be more expensive than any Infiniti model, insiders say. One Nissan official told IL that there will be no Infiniti counterpart to the Skyline GT-R. What this means to you: Lots of exciting product news in the pipeline from Nissan, but maybe they'd better study all the definitions before they christen their new products. Edmunds.com/Inside Line
